Each MV player contributed to a monumental win against heavily favored SRV to keep the trophy and cross town bragging rights at MV.  The  Captains were well chosen and their leadership supported the team through a minute by minute yard by yard game.

MV kept DLS starters in for all 4 quarters by outscoring DLS in the 2nd half and forcing more punts. But first the first quarter…….

MV vs Livermore 10/14/11
Conditions: hot 80 at 7pm
Captains: Lockie, Scritchfield, Shirreffs, Stanton
The Mustangs scored first and last in a win against Livermore Friday evening that started with everything going the Mustangs way. The first score came after a nice Scritchfield move, crafty Chang moves and TD followed by a Redd PAT. 7-0  On Defense Shirreffs hit the ball carrier deep behind the line of scrimmage and with pressure from Maruyama, Turcotte and Marquardt Mustangs came up with the ball. On Offense following a Chang Chang Chang series Lockie or Lowkey kept it for a TD followed by a PAT 14-0 End of first quarter.

 MONTE VISTA VS PITTSBURG PIRATES
CONDITIONS:  7PM game time cool, breezy evening with fog gathering on Mt Diablo
CAPTAINS:  Blake Walker, Andrew Stanton and Jeff Lockie
 Mustangs Kicker Redd started off the game with a kick off to the end zone.  Pittsburg’s first play became a break out run with Zamora catching and tripping up to save the TD.  Within a minute Pittsburg had scored setting off a first half with 6 lead changes. 0-7
