Head Coach Joey Wingert
A 2002 graduate of Monte Vista, this will be Coach Wingert’s 3rd year coaching for the Mustangs. The previous two years, he coached the Freshman Team where he was the Offensive and Defensive Line Coach. The teams went 15-5 combined over the past two seasons with an EBAL Championship. Coach Wingert played football four years at M.V. with his senior season ending in a NCS Championship, and he also received All-EBAL 2nd Team Honors.
Coach Jon Straka
This is Coach Straka's 3nd year coaching at MVHS. Previously he was the 2006 San Ramon Valley T-Birds PeeWee Assistant Offensive Coordinator. Coach Straka's personal athletic highlights include winning the 1998 NCS 2A Championship when he played at Miramonte High School. He was named Defensive Player of the Game. He believes the way you practice is the way you win, so play every down like it's your last.
